Since my last article about "travel apps" (here) has been quite successful and because I still have some tips for you, I decided to let you know about them and I hope it will make your lifes a little bit easier, especially now when the summer is approaching.
This time it will probably be mainly for Czech readers, because most of the applications I have prepared for you today can be used mainly in the Czech Republic. But that does not mean that foreigner readers should stop reading. There are also two applications that you can use around the world, and if you are planning to go for some time to the Czech Republic, then you should definitely continue reading because there are plenty of tips on how to travel by train in the Czech Republic in the most efficient and cheapest way.
As I travel by train for school almost daily (article about commuting from Ostrava to Olomouc here), there are three applications in my phone which help me with my travels to school and back home a lot.

Jízdenky |
Jízdenky of Student Agency's I discovered this March, and when I don't count that searching for train connections takes longer than when you buy a ticket through their websites, it's absolutely perfect to me! Moreover, it saves you some crowns, because tickets through a credit ticket are simply cheaper. Plus, you have all the tickets right in the same place, you do not have to look for them in the email, and if you want to cancel it, because you just got the message, "your train will be delayed for about 20 minutes," so you can do it in two minutes. However, this application also has two disadvantages. The first one is that the minimum credit you can recharge there is 300 Kč, and because I never figure out how much a month I travel, it happens to me that sometimes I do not have enough credit for the last ticket and I buy them over the Internet because I do not want to send there another three hundred more for the two crowns that I need for one ticket. Another disadvantage is that the application is a bit slower than the RegioJet websites, so if you buy a ticket just before your departure and there are the last two free seats on the train, it could happen that you won't get your ticket cause the app simply did not notice that the seat is already sold.

Leo Express |
Leo Express is probably my least favorite transport. As the train is generally shorter, there are less free seats, I do not like the times in which the train goes, it seems to me that it has delay a lot and even with the student discount you don't get the cheapest ticket (in my opinion). Anyway, I have it in my phone as the final rescue if accidentally all of my other transports fail. In addition, it has one tiny advantage in buying a ticket through Leo Express, you get 10% off in the so-called "leo crowns", and if you have enough, you can buy more train tickets with them.

Můj vlak |
I have also downloaded Můj vlak by Czech Railways sometime in the middle of the semester, because I did not enjoy buying the tickets online. I am not really a fan of the Czech Railways, but I go with them just in those days when I find out that my RegioJet will be delayed. I was also told that if the trains from the same direction are delayed, Czech Railways, as a state-owned company, took precedence over private transport companies (RegioJet, Leo Express) and thus save me quite regularly from a two-hour stay at Olomouc train-station. And as a bonus, you get points as the ones from Leo Express tickets, and you can buy additional tickets with them or use them at least to get a discount on a Pendolino seat.

GoEuro |
If you are enjoying traveling and you are the type of traveler who simply travels with low cost everything and looking for all sorts of ways to get from point A to point B, you will love GoEuro. This application will find you all the bus, train and air transport in Europe and compare it to you according to the price and length of your journey.

Apple Music |
And because it sometimes happens that the journey will be stretched for a whole day (you can read about one such endless journey in Lea's article), so it is good to have some app that will entertain you at least for a while. I personally sleep with music during a flight or a bus trip. I mentioned Spotify in the last article, but I am more an Apple Music person lately, somehow I like the system more than Spotify's, although I admit that playlists are a little worse here.

Rekola |
The latest application is the pink one that will make it easy for you to travel between short distances around the city. Yes, it's the famous Rekola with an insta-friendly basket. You can try this pink entertainment/transport in 7 different cities in the Czech Republic (Prague, Brno, Olomouc, Ostrava, Liberec, Teplice and České Budějovice). For example, in Olomouc, it is the perfect transportation between faculties if you have only 15 minutes to move. In Ostrava you can go for example to Komenského sady and in Prague you can try a little different style touristing (no idea, if this word exists). Thanks to the application, you will find out where to find the bikes and where to return them. Additionally, the application generates the code to the lock that is on the bike.
The first article was focused more on a airline traffic, while the current one was a lot about the trains, so it's up to you what kind of transportation you choose for your next trip. I just hope that this article is going to be useful and it will save you when your train will be delayed or your bus will be canceled.
All apps, except Apple Music, should also be available for Android phones, so you can search them nicely and because it's really beautiful weather today and I'm writing this text on the terrace so you can go to the park to ride some of Rekolo and in some beer break you can plan a summer holiday.
